❃ Arsinoitherium was an extinct genus of large, rhinoceros-like mammals that lived during the Late Eocene and Early Oligocene epochs. The species was characterized by a long snout with two prominent horns, short legs, and a bulky body covered in thick fur.
❃ It had four toes on each foot and two horns that were likely used for protection and as a means of defensive communication. Its diet consisted of leaves, fruits, nuts and seeds found in the forests of Africa and Asia. Its large size meant it was an apex predator in its environment.
