THE WHALEBILL

❃ It is a large bird that can grow up to four feet tall. It has a long neck and legs, and its bill is long and curved. The shoebill stork is found in Africa, and it feeds on fish, amphibians, and reptiles.
❃ Adults are grey and white, with a black band on the leading edge of their wings. Juveniles are browner and lack the wing band. The shoebill can grow to over 150 cm tall, with a wingspan of up to 2.8 m. It is the only member of the genus Balaeniceps.
